What a proper installation covers
Installing a water heater is more than hanging it on the wall. As a local English-speaking plumber in Fuengirola, here’s exactly what I do when I come to your home — no surprises, no hidden extras.
- check_circle Removing the old heater — drained, disconnected and taken away to be recycled
- check_circle Secure mounting — wall fixings rated for the weight, properly levelled
- check_circle Hydraulic connection — new hoses and sealed joints, so there are no leaks
- check_circle Electrical (or gas) connection — done safely, checking your supply handles the load
- check_circle Safety group / pressure-relief valve — fitted as required by regulation, to protect the unit
- check_circle Filling, bleeding and testing — I leave it heating properly before I go
The water heaters I install in Fuengirola
Electric water heaters (termos)
The go-to for most apartments — no flue, easy to site. Storage termos from 50 to 200 litres, sized to your household.
Mains gas water heaters
Instant gas calentadores heat on demand and never run out. Efficient where there’s a gas supply and proper venting.
Bottled gas (butano / propano)
A practical option for flats without a mains gas line. Fitted and connected safely, with advice on the right model.
Solar & thermosiphon
Our Costa del Sol sun can cover most of your hot water for free. I install the cylinder, panel connections and backup.
Any format, most brands — vertical, horizontal, multi-position, under-counter, or large 200–300 L accumulators. Brands like Thermor, Junkers, Fleck, Cointra, Ariston and Saunier Duval.
Water heater installation prices
Prices are for fitting a heater you already have, and cover the mounting, water and electrical connections, the safety group and testing. A different size, a large 200–300 L accumulator or extra pipework? Call me — I confirm the final price before starting, with no obligation.
An installation done properly, the first time
Based in Fuengirola
A local plumber you can call again if you ever need anything — not a company that fits it and disappears.
R.I.T.E. certified
Your installation is done to regulation and safely connected — including the gas side of the work where it applies.
Fluent English
I’ll explain your options in plain English and help you choose the unit that genuinely fits your home.
A fixed price first
An honest, fixed quote before I start — and no call-out fee when you accept it and let me do the work.
Bought your heater online? I’ll fit it
It’s very common — you find a good deal at a big store or online, it arrives, and fitting it isn’t a job you fancy doing yourself. A badly fitted heater can leak, run up your bill, trip the electrics or even void the manufacturer’s warranty, so it’s worth getting it right.
- check_circle Fitted without voiding the manufacturer’s warranty — I can give you proof of installation
- check_circle Quality materials and connections, never a bodge job
- check_circle Old unit removed and recycled, at no extra cost
- check_circle If anything extra is needed — new hoses, a stopcock, a socket moved — I show you and price it first
If your unit is too old to be worth fitting, I’ll say so — sometimes a fresh water heater replacement is the smarter buy.
Three Simple Steps
Tell me what you have
Call or WhatsApp with the make, model and litres — or just tell me about your home. I’ll confirm the price and talk you through any doubts.
We book a time
I come round when it suits you — no long waits, no missed slots. Usually the same week, often sooner.
Fitted and working
I remove the old one, fit and connect the new unit, test it heats properly, and leave everything clean — with a 1-year guarantee on the work.
Water heater installation — your questions
How much does it cost to install a water heater?
expand_more
Installation starts from €80 + VAT for a heater you already have. The final price depends on the size, whether the safety group, hoses or stopcocks need replacing, and whether there’s an old unit to remove. I always give you a fixed price before I start, with no obligation.
Do you supply the water heater, or do I buy it?
expand_more
Either works. I’m happy to recommend the right model and size, and you can buy it yourself — many people grab a deal online or at a big store — or I can source it for you. Whatever’s easier.
Does installation void my heater’s warranty?
expand_more
It’s the opposite — most manufacturers require the heater to be fitted by a professional for the warranty to be valid. I can give you proof of installation if you need it to activate the manufacturer’s guarantee.
Do you remove and take away the old unit?
expand_more
Yes — I drain it, disconnect it, take it away and recycle it responsibly, at no extra cost. You don’t have to deal with it.
How long does an installation take?
expand_more
A standard swap — replacing an old heater in the same spot — is usually done in 1 to 2 hours. A brand-new installation, or one that needs pipework or electrical changes, takes a little longer, but I aim to finish in the same visit whenever possible.
What if my socket or drain isn’t right for the new heater?
expand_more
I check that when I arrive. If anything needs adapting — moving a socket, adding a stopcock, sorting the drain — I show you and give you a fixed price for that part before I do it. Nothing is a surprise at the end.
